Coe Cares

Coe Cares is a program that has two primary areas of focus

Coe Cares primary focus is supporting Coe families in times of financial or emotional hardship, ensuring that all Coe families and students can participate in school and school-adjacent activities.

Coe Cares also focuses on developing leaders for the future: organizing school food, book, and supply drives for local non-profit organizations, and hosting service and connection opportunities in Queen Anne and the broader Seattle community.

Current Coe Cares Support Opportunities

Coe Elementary Gift Card Drive

We need donations of 160 gift cards to provide Coe families with grocery gift cards that help offset the cost of food during school break weeks. This gift card drive provides direct assistance to Coe families with the cost of groceries throughout the year, specifically helping to offset the cost of food during school break weeks. All gifts are anonymous and families are encouraged to give as they are able.

To donate a $50 gift card you may either:

  • Purchase a physical gift card at a Kroger store (Fred Meyer, QFC) and deliver it to the Coe office.

  • Purchase an e-gift card, designate the recipient as "Coe Cares" and the recipient email as "coecares@coepta.org"

Ballard Food Bank Drive

October 25th-November 8th

Ballard Food bank is a vital community resource and supports Coe families directly through their "Weekend Food for Kids" program. Please consider adding some food and other items from their "most needed" items list to your next grocery purchase.

Shelf-stable groceries can be brought to Monster Mash, the Coe office or brought into school by students and dropped in the atrium at the tables under the "Food Drive" signs. Thank you!

Coe Elementary Giving Tree Drive

December 2nd-13th

The Giving Tree champions Coe Families who need extra support this season with gifts, clothes and groceries during the winter season. All gifts are anonymous and families are encouraged to donate as they are able.

You can participate by purchasing a gift card AND/OR purchasing (and wrapping) gifts, books or clothing for Coe Families and bringing the wrapped item back to the Coe office before December 13th.

More details to come!
