SPS Update on School Closures and more

On March 12, Governor Inslee made an emergency proclamation closing all public school districts and private schools through at least April 27 to slow the spread of COVID-19. As a result, Seattle Public Schools will be closed for a minimum of six weeks, with classes scheduled to resume on Monday, April 27.

Student Meal Supports

Please help spread the word — Starting Monday, March 16, “grab and go” lunches will be available at 26 school sites across the city, find the details and map hereMcClure Middle School (Google map) is accessible to QA families for lunch pick up — enter and exit through main entrance on north side of building.

Supplemental Learning Opportunities

Starting, Monday March 23, educational programming is being aired on SPS TV (local channel 26), social media (Facebook: @SeattlePublicSchools, Twitter: @SeaPubSchools), the SPSTV YouTube channel, and on KOMO4 news. You can learn more by visiting the COVID-19 SPSTV webpage. From this page, you can watch the live broadcast or view individual “on-demand lessons.”
